I met Jim a few years back when I did a summer intensive at Maitripa. We met only a couple of times, but he left a big impression. I remember particularly a barbeque he hosted at his home. He was welcoming, gentle, funny, wise, patient - such an admirable man, and an inspiration to many of us starting out. I'm so grateful for his work, which benefited me and so many like me in so many different ways. His is an enormous loss. My love to his family and the entire Maitripa family.
